According to the National Weather Service in Lincoln, the next chance for rain arrives as early as Monday afternoon as a disturbance tracks across the state. Rain chances increase to around 90% late Monday into Monday night, marking the start of a notable pattern shift.
Tuesday brings lingering showers early in the day, though coverage will taper off by afternoon. Highs will remain mild in the upper 50s before a sharp cold front pushes through late Tuesday.
By Wednesday, temperatures are expected to fall dramatically, with highs only in the upper 30s and lows dipping into the 20s. Breezy conditions and a mix of clouds may add to the chilly feel heading into the second half of the week.
Thursday and Friday remain cool, with highs in the mid-30s to low 40s and overnight lows in the 20s. The forecast does not currently indicate widespread precipitation later in the week, but the cold pattern appears likely to hold heading toward the Thanksgiving holiday.
