Dodge City, Kansas — The National Weather Service in Dodge City reports that the latest forecast continues to call for light snow across southwest Kansas on Monday, with generally minor impacts expected.

According to the update issued at 5:07 a.m. CST on Sunday, January 18, most locations are expected to see light snow amounts around one inch or less. However, forecasters note that a narrow band of higher snowfall could develop, and localized amounts of 1 to possibly 2 inches cannot be ruled out.

The accompanying forecast graphic highlights a corridor of snow extending across portions of southwest Kansas, including areas near Garden City, Dodge City, Scott City, Ness City, and Syracuse. While some locations show a higher likelihood of measurable snowfall, overall impacts are expected to remain limited.
