Pendleton, OR — Light snow continues to fall across the Blue Mountains early this morning, while patchy to areas of dense fog stretch across much of eastern Oregon and eastern Washington, according to the National Weather Service in Pendleton.

The fog, which has already reduced visibility to one-quarter mile or less in some locations, is expected to persist through the late morning hours. Combined with lingering snow in higher terrain, travel conditions may be hazardous.

What Drivers Should Expect

  • Light snow over the Blue Mountains during the early morning
  • Dense fog creating sudden drops in visibility
  • Slick roads possible, particularly over higher passes
  • Slower travel and increased stopping distance needed

Travelers are urged to check ODOT TripCheck or WSDOT road information before heading out and to allow extra space between vehicles.
