Duluth, MN – The National Weather Service in Duluth is forecasting light rainfall across much of northern Minnesota from Monday into Tuesday, with the highest totals expected along the South Shore and tip of the Arrowhead region.

Most of the Northland will see only light showers, but localized areas near Lake Superior could receive up to a quarter-inch of rainfall due to lake-effect enhancement.

Rain chances increase Monday afternoon and continue intermittently into Tuesday, with probabilities of 60–90% across the eastern portion of the forecast area.

While rainfall amounts will remain generally light, those traveling near the South Shore lake belts should be prepared for brief heavier showers and reduced visibility.

No severe weather is expected, and temperatures will remain seasonably cool through midweek.
