Grand Junction, Colorado — Light mountain snow is expected to develop tonight through Monday morning across portions of northern and central Colorado’s mountains, according to the National Weather Service in Grand Junction.
Forecasters say that while much of eastern Utah and western Colorado will remain dry, snow will begin impacting higher elevations, particularly mountain passes, where minor accumulations are anticipated.
The National Weather Service notes that slick spots may develop on mountain roadways, and blowing snow could occasionally reduce visibility, creating hazardous travel conditions in some areas.
The snow is expected to remain light, but officials urge travelers to use caution when driving through mountain terrain, especially overnight and during the Monday morning commute.
Motorists are encouraged to monitor road conditions closely and allow extra travel time if crossing higher elevations.
