Lexington, NC – A Kernersville man was taken into custody last week following a months-long investigation into alleged child exploitation, authorities said.
According to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, the Invictus Task Force executed a search warrant on September 4, 2025, that led to the arrest of 22-year-old Daniel Benjamin Holladay. Investigators allege Holladay was identified as a suspect after multiple CyberTip reports were filed with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in November 2024.
Officials reported Holladay has been charged with two counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. He was booked into the Randolph County Detention Center, where a magistrate set his bond at $50,000 secured. Court records show Holladay is scheduled to appear in Forsyth County District Court on Wednesday, September 10, 2025.
The Invictus Task Force is a multi-agency effort involving Randolph, Alamance, Davidson, and Forsyth counties, as well as the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security. The unit works to investigate crimes involving the sexual exploitation of children, trafficking, and online abuse.
Authorities said the investigation remains active and encouraged anyone with information to contact the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Invictus Task Force representatives.
Anyone who believes they may be a victim of child exploitation or trafficking is urged to call the National Hotline at 1-888-373-7888 or text “HELP” to 233733.
