Lexington, SC – A Lexington man has been arrested in connection with a 2023 homicide that left one man dead, according to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies say Roosevelt Erik Garway Jr., 23, was taken into custody this week and charged with accessory before the fact of murder and criminal conspiracy.

According to Sheriff Jay Koon, detectives determined Garway allegedly helped Allon Adams and Cady Keener before they fatally shot Tony Etheredge Jr. during an attempted robbery on Parrish Road in December 2023.

“Detectives have continued to interview people associated with the investigation,” Koon said. “As a result of their diligent work, they’ve determined Garway assisted Adams and Keener before they fatally shot Etheredge.”

Koon said Adams and Keener were arrested in early 2024 and are currently awaiting trial. Investigators recovered Etheredge’s body in Black Creek in February 2024 after it was allegedly discarded there by the suspects.

Garway remains in custody at the Lexington County Detention Center as the investigation continues.
