Lewis County, WA – A registered sex offender in Winlock was arrested Thursday after deputies allegedly uncovered a stockpile of weapons and ammunition during a search tied to a child rape investigation.
According to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office, detectives, the Sheriff’s Enforcement Team, and Winlock police executed a warrant at a residence on September 25, 2025. Investigators reported seizing 17 firearms, one airsoft pistol, and more than 5,000 rounds of ammunition.
The suspect, identified as 39-year-old Aaron B. Grimm of Winlock, was booked into jail on an outstanding warrant connected to multiple sex crime allegations. According to police, Grimm allegedly faces five counts of rape of a child in the first degree, child molestation in the first degree, and incest in the first degree, all with domestic violence enhancements.
Deputies added that Grimm, a convicted felon, is barred from owning firearms. He now also faces two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm in the second degree.
The sheriff’s office emphasized that this remains an active investigation and credited multiple law enforcement agencies for their collaboration.
