Amboy, IL – Residents are invited to enjoy a hearty Thanksgiving meal while supporting a good cause this Friday in Amboy. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office announced a fundraiser dinner to benefit its annual Shopping with a Sheriff program, which helps brighten the holidays for local children.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the event will take place Friday, Nov. 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Amboy Shell Express Lane, 342 N. Mason Ave., Amboy, Illinois. The station’s deli team—longtime supporters of the Christmas charity event—will serve traditional Thanksgiving meals featuring ham, turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy, corn, stuffing, roll, and dessert for $13.99 per plate.

All proceeds and donations from the meal sales will go directly toward the Shop with a Sheriff program. Pre-orders are encouraged and can be made by calling (815) 857-2990.

Organizers say the community’s participation helps make the season brighter for children in need throughout Lee County.

“This event has been a wonderful tradition for years, and Amboy Shell’s support continues to make a real difference,” the Sheriff’s Office shared in a post.
