Fort Myers, FL – A Pokémon card resale attempt ended in jail Tuesday afternoon after three out-of-state men were arrested in Lee County for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars in collectible merchandise and attempting to resell it at a Fort Myers store.

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to Dynamo Pokémon Card Store on South Tamiami Trail after reports that three men were trying to sell stolen Pokémon products. Investigators say the suspects had allegedly stolen the items earlier in the day and were attempting to turn them into cash.

Detectives said a store employee was tipped off by a business in Collier County, which reported that the same three men were involved in a theft there earlier Tuesday. The suspects allegedly stole approximately $10,000 worth of Pokémon products, including collectible cards that can carry high resale value.

When the men arrived at the Fort Myers store and attempted to resell the merchandise, the employee recognized them and contacted law enforcement. Deputies responded and detained the suspects without incident, authorities said.

The suspects were identified as Daeshaun Boyd, Jermaine Warren, and Jimmy Sattan. All three were arrested and charged with possession of stolen property, according to the sheriff’s office. Boyd was additionally charged with providing a false name to a law enforcement officer.

Authorities noted that all allegations remain under investigation, and the suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office said the case highlights ongoing theft concerns involving collectible merchandise, which has become a frequent target due to its high resale demand.
