Lehigh Acres, FL – Deputies in Lee County arrested a man this week after he allegedly violated the terms of his pre-trial release for a domestic violence case, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to a residence in Lehigh Acres after a caller reported that her son, who was not permitted to be near the property, had gained access using an emergency key and entered the home.
According to the sheriff’s office, when deputies arrived, the suspect was visible through the glass front door and allegedly made a hand gesture mimicking a firearm before running upstairs. Deputies then entered the residence and found the suspect, identified as Julian Ballester, pretending to be asleep in a bed.
Ballester was taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Lee County Jail. He now faces a Pre-Trial Release Violation for Domestic Violence charge, authorities said.
The sheriff’s office did not report any injuries during the encounter.
