Fort Myers, FL – A man previously out on bond for second-degree murder charges tied to the Club Blu case was arrested again after deputies raided a Fort Myers stash house on Halloween night, uncovering more than a dozen kilos of drugs.

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, detectives executed the raid on Regata Way after months of controlled buys involving the suspect, identified as Derrick Church. Sheriff Carmine Marceno said Church “continued to sell and traffic deadly narcotics” despite facing serious charges.

Inside the apartment, narcotics detectives reported finding 14 kilograms of Molly/MDMA, 812 grams of methamphetamine, and 174 grams of fentanyl.

Investigators say Church was arrested outside the residence after arranging another drug sale on October 31. He was booked into the Lee County Jail, where Sheriff Marceno stated he “will remain for the foreseeable future.”

Church now faces six counts of trafficking involving fentanyl, phenethylamines, and methamphetamines, along with two counts of possession with intent to sell and two counts of sale of a controlled substance.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office says the operation was part of an ongoing narcotics crackdown targeting repeat violent offenders.
