Lebanon County, PA – Pennsylvania State Police are investigating an alleged contractor scam after a homeowner paid hundreds of dollars for driveway work that was never completed.

According to Pennsylvania State Police Troop L – Jonestown Station, the theft occurred on December 8, 2025, Monday, at a residence along East Rosebud Road in Jackson Township. Troopers say a male suspect arrived at the home and offered to sealcoat the victim’s driveway.

Police report the victim paid the suspect $800 in U.S. currency for the work. After receiving the payment, the suspect allegedly left the property without completing the job.

Authorities say the suspect fled the area in a light-colored Chevrolet Silverado bearing an unknown registration. A photo of the suspect has been released as part of the investigation.

State police are asking anyone who may recognize the suspect or vehicle — or who may have experienced a similar encounter — to come forward. Investigators note that contractor-style scams often target homeowners by offering immediate work at discounted rates, then disappearing after payment.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Jonestown Station at (717) 865-2194. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through PSP Tips by calling 1-800-472-8477 or online at p3tips.com.

Police say tipsters may be eligible for a cash reward if the information leads to an arrest, solves a crime or cold case, or helps locate a wanted or missing person. Reward funds are paid through asset forfeiture and not taxpayer dollars.

The investigation remains ongoing, and information is subject to update as new details become available.
