Schaumburg, IL – Schaumburg Township will host a free workshop focused on identifying scams and protecting yourself from financial predators. The event is scheduled for Thursday, September 12, at 11 a.m., in partnership with the Consumer Credit Counseling Service (CCCS) of Northern Illinois.

The workshop will offer attendees practical tips on how to recognize fraudulent emails, phone calls, and other schemes designed to steal hard-earned money. Registration is required by September 11.

According to Schaumburg Township, the presentation will also cover strategies to avoid becoming a victim of financial scams. The event is aimed at community members, especially seniors, who are often targeted by scammers.
