According to the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a report of a robbery and shooting on October 3, 2025, in the area of Coleman Road in Clinton. Upon arrival, officers found a woman, identified as Taneal Evans of Clinton, deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.
Following an extensive investigation, authorities determined that Evans and Quinjavarius Ta’Marion Tribble, also of Clinton, had allegedly attempted to rob another individual. During the attempted robbery, the intended victim reportedly fired in self-defense, striking both suspects.
Tribble survived the incident and, after receiving medical clearance on Tuesday, November 4, was charged with Armed Robbery and Criminal Conspiracy. The Sheriff’s Office stated the robbery victim will not face any charges.
