Winnipeg, MB – A serious vehicle collision involving a pedestrian at McPhillips Street and Machray Avenue has left a woman in critical condition. The incident, which occurred shortly before 9:30 p.m. on August 26, 2024, has prompted an urgent investigation by local authorities.
According to the Winnipeg Police Service, the female pedestrian was attempting to cross westbound McPhillips Street when she was struck by a 2018 Nissan Titan traveling northbound. The driver, a 50-year-old male, remained on the scene and cooperated with officers from the North District General Patrol. The injured woman, who has yet to be identified, was transported by the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service to a nearby hospital, where she is in unstable condition with severe injuries.
