LaSalle County, IL – Sheriff’s Office Seeks Public’s Help Identifying Suspect in June Arson Case

Streator, IL – Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect allegedly involved in an arson that occurred earlier this summer in Streator.

According to the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office, the incident took place on Saturday, June 1, 2025. Surveillance footage shows an individual wearing a hooded sweatshirt with the word “Dope” printed on the back. The suspect was reportedly riding a mountain-style bicycle and was last seen traveling north on Fuller Avenue.

The sheriff’s office released multiple images of the suspect captured on home security cameras in hopes that someone in the community might recognize the individual. The suspect appears to have approached the front door of a residence before allegedly carrying out the crime.

Authorities have not released further details about the nature of the arson or the extent of the damage involved but are actively pursuing leads. No injuries have been reported in connection with the incident.
