Las Vegas, NV – Las Vegas residents may see an unusual mix of rain and snow overnight as a weather system moves through Southern Nevada. The brief wintry mix is expected before conditions clear up for a sunny Valentine’s weekend.
According to the National Weather Service, rain and snow showers could develop between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. Thursday, with little to no accumulation expected. Overnight temperatures will drop to 39°F, and northwest winds will remain light. Showers are forecast to continue throughout Thursday morning before clearing in the afternoon.
By Friday, mostly sunny skies will return, with highs reaching 61°F. Saturday and Sunday will be even warmer, with highs around 63°F. Those planning Valentine’s weekend activities can expect dry, pleasant weather.
Drivers should remain cautious on elevated roads and bridges early Thursday, as wet conditions could briefly develop. While snow accumulation is unlikely, early-morning commuters should check local updates before heading out.
Las Vegas will see a warming trend into next week, with sunshine dominating the forecast and highs reaching the upper 60s by Presidents’ Day.
