Las Vegas, NV – Rain chances are returning to the Las Vegas region later this week as moisture from the remnants of Hurricane Priscilla moves inland. According to the National Weather Service (NWS) Las Vegas, precipitation is expected to begin late Thursday and continue through Friday before tapering off Saturday morning.

Forecasters say the heaviest rainfall is expected Friday, particularly along and south of Interstate 15, impacting areas in southern Nevada and northwestern Arizona. The system is forecast to bring scattered to widespread rain, though rainfall intensity will depend on available atmospheric instability.

According to the NWS outlook, confidence is highest for rain across Boulder City, Laughlin, and Kingman, where probabilities exceed 60–75% Friday morning and afternoon. Areas farther north, including Barstow and Pahrump, are likely to see lighter showers or shorter rainfall periods.

The weather service notes that the storm’s strength will depend on how much tropical moisture remains intact as it moves into the region. Rain chances will diminish quickly by Saturday as the system exits eastward.

Residents are encouraged to monitor updated forecasts through the week, especially those traveling on I-15 and U.S. 93, where wet roads and brief downpours could reduce visibility and slow travel.
