Las Vegas, Nevada – Drivers and residents in Las Vegas should brace for gusty winds and warm, sunny days as breezy conditions move into the area, pushing wind speeds up to 33 mph by Friday afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service, southwest winds will pick up across Clark County starting Wednesday, with afternoon gusts reaching as high as 28 mph and intensifying to 33 mph by Friday. Temperatures will stay unseasonably warm, with highs near 87°F Wednesday and Thursday before cooling to the low 70s on Saturday.

Motorists on US-95 and I-15 should expect strong crosswinds, especially during the afternoon commute. Outdoor activities and construction projects may be impacted by blowing dust and loose debris. Power outages are not expected, but residents are urged to secure patio furniture and trash bins to prevent property damage.

Those sensitive to dust or allergies should limit outdoor exposure during peak wind hours. Cooler weather is on the way for the weekend, with Saturday’s high dropping to 73°F under clear skies.
