Las Vegas, Nevada – Temperatures will climb 10 to 15 degrees between Friday and Sunday, pushing highs near 70 degrees and increasing weekend traffic along I-15 and US-95 as outdoor plans ramp up.
According to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, high pressure building over southern Nevada will bring mostly sunny skies and a steady warming trend through Sunday. Afternoon highs rise from the upper 50s Friday to the upper 60s and near 70 by Sunday across the Las Vegas Valley. Lake Mead is expected to reach 69 degrees Sunday, while Death Valley climbs to around 70.
Expect heavier recreational traffic by Sunday afternoon.
Red Rock Canyon will see highs increase from the mid-40s Friday to the mid-50s Sunday, while Mount Charleston warms from the upper 20s into the 40s. Snowpack will remain at higher elevations, but road conditions are expected to stay dry region-wide.
Drivers along I-15 toward Primm and Mesquite and along US-93 toward Boulder City should anticipate increased congestion, particularly during peak travel hours Saturday and Sunday. No precipitation or significant wind is expected to disrupt travel.
Residents should stay hydrated during outdoor recreation and plan for cooler evenings, with overnight lows remaining in the 30s and 40s.
The warming trend continues into early next week, with stable conditions persisting and no storm systems expected through at least midweek. No weather advisories are currently in effect, and impacts will remain limited to increased travel volume through Sunday evening.
