Nevada – Bright desert sun is already pushing temperatures into the 90s this afternoon, and that early-season heat is building quickly across Las Vegas before a noticeable cooldown and storm chance arrive within the next two days.
According to the National Weather Service, highs reach near 92°F today with clear skies and light southeast winds. Roads across I-15, I-215, and the Strip remain dry and clear, but heat exposure increases rapidly during peak afternoon hours.
That warmth eases slightly into Thursday with highs near 88°F under mostly sunny skies. Winds begin to pick up, with gusts reaching over 20 mph at times, especially across open desert areas. Drivers may notice light crosswinds on north-south routes.
By Friday, temperatures drop further to around 84°F with continued sunshine. Conditions remain dry through the day, but a shift begins late as moisture edges into southern Nevada.
Friday night introduces a 20% chance of isolated showers. While rainfall will be limited, brief wet roads and reduced visibility are possible in spotty areas.
Saturday brings a more noticeable change. Highs fall into the mid-70s with scattered showers and even a slight chance of thunderstorms after late morning. Roads could turn slick quickly, especially after long dry stretches.
Sunday keeps a slight chance of showers with highs near the low 70s and breezy conditions continuing across the valley.
Looking ahead, drier and warmer weather returns early next week, with temperatures climbing back into the upper 70s.
