Nevada’s desert air is already warm to the touch, and temperatures are climbing quickly across Las Vegas, setting up a fast-moving surge into summer-like heat that will peak within the next two days.

According to the National Weather Service, conditions start near 64°F under clear skies, with highs reaching about 86°F today. Dry air and light winds keep skies clear, allowing temperatures to rise even faster into the 90s by Tuesday and Wednesday.

Across Clark County and along I-15, US-95, and the Las Vegas Strip, travel remains smooth with dry pavement and excellent visibility. However, heat will become the primary concern, especially during the afternoon hours when pavement temperatures rise rapidly.

By Tuesday, highs reach near 90°F under full sun. Wednesday pushes even hotter, peaking around 91°F. The quick jump in temperatures may catch some residents off guard, particularly those spending extended time outdoors.

Even during the evening hours, temperatures only fall into the low 60s, limiting overnight cooling and allowing heat to build day after day. Hydration and sun protection are essential, especially for outdoor workers and tourists navigating the Strip.

Looking ahead, temperatures ease slightly by Thursday into the upper 80s, but dry conditions remain firmly in place.
