LAS VEGAS — Holiday marketplaces in the Las Vegas Valley are opening earlier this year to accommodate early Christmas shoppers.

Las Vegas is kicking off holiday events ahead of Thanksgiving to meet demand. The annual holiday market and parade at Downtown Summerlin will launch early this year. Other festive events, like Enchant at Las Vegas Ballpark, will run Nov. 21–Dec. 28, featuring a Christmas marketplace with artisan vendors for early Christmas shopping.

Throughout the Las Vegas Valley, there are multiple pop-up markets that not only act as gift hubs but are also seasonal gathering spaces. The Glow Together Market, a local artisan and community market, will be held Sunday, Oct. 26, at TEN31 Alley (1031 E. Fremont St.).

John R Beatty Elementary School will be holding its Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 15. The event boasts over 60 local craft vendors to shop from. In addition, the Holiday Craft & Gift Festival at the Expo at World Market Center Las Vegas will run Nov. 7–9.

The early opening of markets is a result of factors like early travel schedules, a need for increased tourism in the city, and a push for small local vendors to stand out from glitzy resort events.
