Las Vegas, NV – A breezy weekend is ahead for Southern Nevada and nearby California counties as gusty winds develop Saturday, according to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas.

Forecasters say south-southwesterly winds between 20 and 30 mph are expected across much of the region Saturday, with higher gusts of 25 to 35 mph possible in the Sierra Crest, Owens Valley, and western San Bernardino County. The breezy conditions are likely to continue into Sunday before easing.

Despite the winds, dry weather and near-normal temperatures will persist. Highs will reach the low 80s in Las Vegas, upper 80s in Laughlin, and mid- to upper 70s in Bishop and Kingman. No rain is expected over the next several days.

The NWS advises travelers and outdoor enthusiasts to use caution in open desert and mountain areas, where stronger gusts could impact driving and create areas of blowing dust.
