Las Vegas, NV – Southern Nevada wakes to clear skies and warm sunshine today, but a midweek weather change is on the horizon. After several days of mild fall weather, the Las Vegas Valley could see thunderstorms return by Thursday evening, bringing potential lightning and brief downpours.

According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday and Wednesday will remain dry and sunny, with daytime highs near 86–89°F. Residents are urged to enjoy outdoor activities early in the week before storm chances rise late Thursday. Winds will stay light, though gusts may increase as clouds build over the desert.

Thursday marks the first real “fall pattern” shift of October, with a 30–50% chance of thunderstorms late in the day and continuing into Friday. Areas along I-15 and Summerlin Parkway may experience slick roads during the evening commute. Drivers should allow extra time and stay weather-aware, especially with localized flooding possible in low-lying areas.

By the weekend, sunshine should return with comfortable highs in the low 80s—ideal for early Halloween decorating, pumpkin patch visits, or Red Rock hiking.
