Deputies with the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported stabbing just before 5 p.m. Wednesday at a hotel in Wellington. According to the sheriff’s office, responding units quickly located the individuals involved — all adults — and secured the scene.
One person was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening and is expected to recover. The suspect has been taken into custody, authorities said.
Investigators are still determining the circumstances leading up to the altercation. “There’s no indication of any threat to public safety at this time,” the department said in a statement. Residents in the area may notice an increased law enforcement presence as deputies gather evidence and process the scene through the evening.
