Pinewood Springs, CO – Authorities in Larimer County are investigating two deaths after a man and woman were found inside a home in Pinewood Springs Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded just after 4:30 p.m. on September 9 to a residence on Deer Lane, where they discovered two adults deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. Several firearms were recovered at the scene. No other individuals were present.
The Larimer County Coroner’s Office conducted autopsies and ruled the 65-year-old woman’s death a homicide and the 64-year-old man’s death a suicide. Their names will be released once next of kin are notified.
Investigators are working to determine the circumstances leading up to the incident. Officials said there is no indication of any ongoing threat to the community.
