LaPorte County, IN Traffic Stop Leads to 50-Gram Fentanyl Seizure

LaPorte County, IN – A traffic stop on the Indiana Toll Road led to a significant narcotics seizure Tuesday when troopers reportedly found 50 grams of suspected fentanyl hidden inside a driver’s clothing.

According to Sgt. Glen Fifield of the Indiana State Police Lowell Post, troopers stopped a vehicle for speeding in LaPorte County. While speaking with the driver, officers allegedly detected the odor of marijuana, prompting a search of the vehicle.

During the search, police said they discovered 50 grams of suspected fentanyl concealed in the driver’s pants. The suspect, identified as Riley Raekwon A., 25, of Bolingbrook, Illinois, was arrested and transported to the LaPorte County Jail.

He faces preliminary charges of dealing in a controlled substance, a Level 2 felony; possession of a controlled substance, a Level 4 felony; and possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
