Lansing, IL – Woman Fatally Shot in Walmart Parking Lot

LANSING, IL – A 66-year-old woman was fatally shot in the parking lot of a Walmart in Lansing on Saturday afternoon.

According to the Lansing Police Department, officers responded to a report of shots fired at 17625 Torrence Avenue around 1:45 p.m. They found the victim with gunshot wounds and provided medical aid before she was transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Authorities stated there is no ongoing threat to the public. The investigation is active, with assistance from the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force and Illinois State Police Crime Scene Investigators.
