Creswell, OR – Lane County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a suspect allegedly connected to multiple bank robberies reported Tuesday in southern Oregon.
According to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 2 p.m. Tuesday to a robbery at Banner Bank in Creswell. The suspect reportedly used a note to demand money from a teller before leaving the scene. Investigators later confirmed the same suspect was involved in an earlier robbery at a Cottage Grove bank earlier in the day.
Deputies described the suspect as a white male adult, about 6 feet tall, weighing around 175 pounds with a medium build and a full beard. At the time of the robberies, he was last seen wearing a green ball cap, aviator sunglasses, a black jacket, black sweatpants, gray gloves and black shoes with white soles.
Investigators also identified the suspect’s vehicle as a gold, two-door Ford Escort ZX2 manufactured between 1998 and 2003, carrying an unknown license plate. The vehicle was captured on surveillance images released by authorities.
The Sheriff’s Office warned that the suspect is considered armed and dangerous. Authorities urged the public not to approach him and to call 911 immediately with any information regarding his location.
Both cases remain under active investigation, and deputies are working to determine if the suspect may be connected to any additional robberies in the area.
