Lane County, OR – Two men were hospitalized with life-threatening gunshot wounds Saturday morning following a shootout in McKenzie Bridge, according to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called to the 54700 block of Caddis Lane around 11 a.m. on November 9 after reports of two individuals shooting at each other, the sheriff’s office said. Responding deputies cleared the property and found both men seriously injured.

According to investigators, the two men were known to each other and became involved in a dispute on the property before the gunfire erupted. Both were transported to an area hospital for emergency care.

Authorities confirmed the injured men were the only shooters and that there is no ongoing threat to the public. Detectives remain on scene processing evidence and interviewing witnesses as the investigation continues.
