Eugene, OR – A large-scale illegal marijuana bust in Lane County led to the destruction of thousands of plants and multiple arrests this week.
According to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office, detectives and deputies served three search warrants on Wednesday, September 10, at properties north and southwest of Eugene. Investigators destroyed more than 7,000 marijuana plants and 800 pounds of processed marijuana. Seven people were arrested during the operation.
Deputies also located a stolen trailer from Springfield and seized six firearms, including a sawed-off shotgun. Authorities said the raids took place at residences in the 89800 block of Armitage Road, 89900 block of Coburg Road, and 85100 block of Forest Hill Lane.
The Lane County Code Compliance Program and Oregon Watermaster will address additional violations found on the properties, including unpermitted structures, sewage dumping, unlawful hazardous material storage, and an unapproved well.
The multi-agency effort included assistance from the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and state compliance officials. Investigators noted the operation was supported by Oregon’s Illegal Marijuana Market Grant, a state program created to help law enforcement disrupt unlawful cannabis operations.
The Sheriff’s Office said the case remains under investigation and further details may be released at a later date. Anyone with information is asked to contact LCSO at 541-682-4141 and reference case #25-4312.
