Eugene, OR – The Lane County Sheriff’s Office reported several DUII arrests between October 27 and 31 following a series of impaired driving incidents across the county. Deputies responded to traffic stops and crashes in Springfield, Eugene, and Creswell during the five-day span.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies do not have a dedicated DUI enforcement team due to funding limitations but remain focused on roadway safety. The department urged residents to plan ahead, drive sober, and wear seatbelts as holiday travel increases.

Among those arrested was Landon Michael Hanks, 22, of Eugene, who was stopped near Highway 126 in Springfield late October 27. Deputies also arrested Dustin Hyen Loeschen, 46, of Eugene, after a crash into multiple parked cars on October 29.

Later that same evening, Cody Stephen Pando, 40, of Milwaukee, was taken into custody following a hit-and-run in Creswell. On October 31, Lori Michelle Monstein, 59, of Eugene, was arrested after crashing on Hill Road near Old Mohawk Road; deputies learned she also had an active warrant out of Marion County.

Each incident, officials said, could have ended tragically. Deputies encourage all drivers to arrange safe transportation and report suspected impaired driving to law enforcement.
