Madison County, IL – Motorists traveling westbound on Interstate 270 over the Mississippi River should prepare for delays as lane closures begin Monday.
According to the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), closures will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to facilitate structural inspections on the bridge. While all entrance and exit ramps will remain open, drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and expect potential congestion in the area.
