Paradise Township, PA – A 34-year-old man has been identified and charged in connection with an alleged assault on a 68-year-old woman in Lancaster County.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police Troop J – Lancaster, the incident happened on Aug. 19 at approximately 3:35 p.m. at a home on the 200 block of South Belmont Road in Paradise Township. Authorities said the suspect, now identified as Benjamin Brinker, allegedly tasered and punched the victim in the face after she answered her door.

Brinker, who was reportedly dressed in all black with a baseball cap, sunglasses, and a medical mask, was seen fleeing north toward Strasburg Road following the incident. Witnesses had also observed him walking in the area prior to the assault, according to investigators.

State police confirmed Brinker was arrested and is currently incarcerated at Lancaster County Prison. He was unable to post bail and is scheduled for arraignment on Sept. 26.

The victim, who sustained injuries in the attack, has not been publicly identified by police. Authorities previously asked the public for video footage from the neighborhood and said that callers providing information may be eligible for a cash reward.
