Buffalo, NY – A few rounds of light rain are moving across Western New York this Saturday, but forecasters say the region will dry out by Sunday afternoon, according to the US National Weather Service Buffalo NY.

A mid-level low is producing occasional showers today, especially west of Rochester and Buffalo, while areas east of Lake Ontario remain mainly dry. Highs will reach the low to mid-60s, with cooler lake breezes in some areas.

By Sunday morning, scattered light showers may linger across parts of western and central New York, but mainly dry weather is expected to return by midday and persist through the afternoon. The calmer stretch will carry into the Columbus Day holiday, with temperatures staying mild for mid-October.

Forecasters say no major weather systems are expected to disrupt travel through Monday, though patchy morning drizzle could briefly impact early Sunday plans before skies begin to clear.
