Green Bay, Wis. – A sunny Memorial Day will give way to showers and chilly winds in Green Bay and across eastern Wisconsin as widespread rain arrives late Tuesday, followed by a temperature drop into midweek.
According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, rain chances will increase Tuesday afternoon with steady rainfall expected by evening, continuing overnight into Wednesday. Winds from the north and northeast will intensify during this period, bringing cooler air off Lake Michigan and dropping daytime highs into the upper 50s and low 60s by Wednesday.
Cities along the lakeshore—including Manitowoc, Sheboygan, and Sturgeon Bay—should prepare for gusty winds and limited visibility during commutes, especially Wednesday morning. Inland areas such as Appleton and Oshkosh may see totals near 0.5 to 1 inch of rain. Travel could be slick at times, and residents are urged to check wipers, drive cautiously, and avoid flooded roadways.
While temperatures will stay near seasonal averages through Tuesday, the midweek chill marks a sharp contrast to the holiday weekend. Light rain and breezy conditions are expected to ease by Thursday afternoon, with warmer, sunnier weather likely returning Friday.
Rain and wind advisories remain possible through Wednesday evening.
