Lake Geneva, WI – The Lake Geneva Police Department’s Community Outreach Committee is once again partnering with the “Christmas for the Kids” program to help Walworth County families in need this holiday season.
According to the department, the program—run through the Wilderness Episcopal Church in Elkhorn—has provided gifts for 19 years to families receiving services from the Walworth County Department of Health and Human Services. This year’s drive runs through November 18, 2025.
Community members are encouraged to donate new, unwrapped items such as gas or grocery gift cards, warm clothing, board games, kitchenware, toiletries, and winter footwear for children and adults. Nonperishable food items, including pasta, canned vegetables, peanut butter, cereal, and pancake mix, will also be accepted to fill holiday meal baskets.
A collection bin is located in the lobby of the Lake Geneva Police Department, where residents can drop off items during regular business hours.
Organizers say the goal is to make this the biggest year of giving yet, ensuring local families have the comfort and joy of a full Christmas celebration.
