CLEVELAND, Ohio – Fall continues to deliver postcard-perfect weather across northern Ohio as a stretch of crisp, dry days extends through midweek. After a mild Columbus Day, Cleveland wakes to bright skies and calm breezes Tuesday, ideal for commuters and leaf watchers alike. The National Weather Service in Cleveland says steady sunshine and light winds will dominate through Wednesday, helping keep travel smooth along I-90 and I-71.

According to the NWS Cleveland office, daytime highs will hold in the upper 60s to near 70 through midweek before a gradual cool-down begins late Thursday. Nights will turn brisk, dipping into the 40s, a reminder to protect tender plants and prep outdoor faucets before the first true chill arrives.

While no frost or freeze alerts are posted yet, forecasters note that drier air and clear nights could lead to patchy early-morning fog in inland counties from Medina to Portage. Those heading to school or work early should allow extra drive time, especially near low-lying areas along I-480 and Route 8.

Looking ahead, clouds increase Friday as a weak front moves in from the west. A few light showers could arrive before dawn Saturday, signaling the next shift toward more seasonable fall air by the weekend. Until then, northern Ohio enjoys a golden stretch—perfect for fall decorating, pumpkin patch visits, or one last lakefront walk before cooler winds return.
