Marquette, MI – Light lake effect snow continues to impact the north wind snow belts in Michigan tonight, with conditions expected to persist until Tuesday. According to the National Weather Service, snowfall totals are expected to remain light but could lead to slick roads and reduced visibility in the affected areas.

Temperatures tonight will range from 8°F to 21°F, with the coldest conditions expected in the interior west. On Tuesday, lake effect snow will continue, with temperatures climbing to highs between 26°F and 36°F.

By Wednesday, warmer conditions will move in, bringing highs between 36°F and 46°F. Snow showers are expected to give way to rain as the temperatures rise, particularly along the shoreline, where lows will range from 18°F to 26°F.

Residents in the impacted areas are advised to take caution when traveling, especially in regions experiencing lake effect snow. The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) may issue additional weather alerts or travel advisories depending on the snow accumulation.

The warmer weather expected on Wednesday should provide relief, though it may bring mixed precipitation, so residents should remain alert for changing conditions.
