Marquette, MI — Residents of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula should prepare for persistent lake-effect snow showers this weekend, bringing slick roads and reduced visibility.
The National Weather Service predicts scattered snow showers through Saturday evening, with additional accumulation of up to 2 inches expected. Wind gusts up to 15 mph will exacerbate driving conditions. Highs will reach 18°F Saturday, with subzero wind chills overnight.
Snow will taper Sunday morning, giving way to partly sunny skies and a high near 26°F. Snow is expected to return late Sunday night into Monday.
