Marquette, MI – Winter weather is causing disruptions across Michigan’s Upper Peninsula this morning, with lake effect snow and gusty winds impacting multiple counties.

According to the National Weather Service, a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for several areas, including Alger, Northern Schoolcraft, Luce, and Ontonagon counties, until 11 AM EDT today. Snow accumulations are expected to range from one to three inches in some locations, with winds gusting up to 35 mph. The hazardous conditions are likely to affect the morning commute.

Areas such as Seney, Munising, Grand Marais, and Newberry could see additional snow accumulation up to two inches, while conditions in Marquette and Baraga counties may result in slippery roads and reduced visibility.
