Lake Effect Snow Advisory Continues for Ashland County

Ashland, WI – A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for Ashland County, including the Bad River Reservation and recreational areas such as Madeline Island, until 6 a.m. Thursday morning.

According to the National Weather Service in Duluth, lake effect snow is expected to bring additional accumulations of up to one inch, with wind gusts reaching as high as 40 mph. These conditions could create hazardous travel, and gusty winds may lead to downed tree branches.

Motorists are urged to slow down and exercise caution. For the latest road conditions, call 511 or visit 511wi.gov.
