Crown Point, IN — Two men from Hebron died in a motorcycle crash early Friday morning in unincorporated Crown Point. Police responded around 5:30 a.m. to the 12800 block of Whitcomb, where the crash occurred.
Officers found a motorcycle in the yard of a home near 129th Court and Cedar Lake Road. Both the driver, Mark Bardenson, 32, and passenger Nicholas Jones, 29, were pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Department, the motorcycle left the roadway and struck two trees. The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff’s Department Crash Reconstruction Unit.
The Lake County Coroner’s Office identified the victims shortly after the accident. Investigators are still working to determine if speed or other factors contributed to the crash.
