Griffith, IN – The Lake County Sheriff’s Department reports a devastating update from Griffith, Indiana, where an earlier shooting incident has now resulted in three fatalities.
According to Lake County Sheriff’s Department reports on March 15, 2024, shortly before 2:00 PM, officers were called to a residence in the 600 block of Colfax St. in unincorporated Griffith. Upon arrival, they discovered two men dead and a third critically injured from apparent gunshot wounds. The critically injured man was rushed to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Detectives are currently examining various aspects of the case, including the possibility of a murder/suicide, as part of their ongoing investigation. Sheriff Oscar Martinez Jr. has stated that no additional details will be disclosed at this juncture as the investigation proceeds.
