Hobart, IN – A pair of Hobart residents were arrested on multiple felony charges after a drug investigation by the Hobart Police Department’s Narcotics Unit. The investigation, which culminated in a search warrant being executed on April 9, 2025, led officers to the 7200 block of Mississippi Street.
According to the Hobart Police Department, investigators had been tracking an individual suspected of dealing methamphetamine out of a local residence. Following their investigation, authorities obtained a search warrant and discovered methamphetamine and other narcotics at the location.
Two men were arrested in connection to the drug operation and face numerous felony charges. Tyler Cofield, 35, has been charged with multiple counts, including dealing methamphetamine (Level 2 and Level 4 felonies), possession of a narcotic drug, and neglect of a dependent, among others. Michael Freville, 39, is facing charges of possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a common nuisance, and possession of paraphernalia.
The investigation is ongoing, and more charges could be filed in the future. Authorities have also urged the public to report any suspicious activity in the area. The Hobart Police Department’s narcotics enforcement team continues to monitor the situation and investigate any further violations related to the property.
