The truck traveled about 500 feet through the woods before coming to rest on its hood in the front yard of a nearby residence.
According to police, the driver—identified only as a 59-year-old male—was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Investigators noted that open alcohol containers were found inside the vehicle and said impairment is suspected.
