Lake County, IL – Stabbing of Child in Beach Park Leads to Arrest

Beach Park, IL – A nine-year-old child has been critically injured in a stabbing incident in Beach Park, Illinois. 

According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded late Thursday morning at 10:45 a.m. to a distress call at a residence on N. Manor Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered the child with multiple stab wounds. 

The child was promptly transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, facing life-threatening injuries. The suspect, a 30-year-old male from the same address, fled the scene but was later apprehended at a nearby train station. 

An investigation into the stabbing is underway by the Lake County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division.
