Lake County, IL – Over 3,600 Fentanyl Pills Seized: Waukegan Man Arrested for Drug Trafficking

Lake County, IL – The Lake County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Group, backed by the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area initiative, has achieved a significant breakthrough by arresting a Waukegan resident for trafficking methamphetamine, cocaine, and a substantial amount of fentanyl. 

According to Lake County Sheriff’s Department after a meticulous investigation, Terrance D. Hill, aged 35, was found distributing these drugs from his home on Helmholz Avenue. The Sheriff’s Office disclosed that the sting operation resulted in the confiscation of more than 3,600 fentanyl pills, approximately 30 grams of meth, and around 40 grams of cocaine. 

The Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office has formally charged Hill with seven counts related to the unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, including five class X felonies and two class 1 felonies, on March 18, 2024. 

Hill’s arrest took place the following day, March 19, 2024, and he currently awaits a detention hearing.
